I Skeletons under the asphalt
Under every avenue there resound unlit optical fibres: threads of glass that once carried light and now lie hollow — bones with no laser blood.
Engineers call them dark fibre; the neighbours hear them creak when somebody drills the pavement.
They are fossil remains of the dot-com boom [1998-2001]: duplicate runs laid by speculation that never filled them.
Like stone vertebrae they keep the shape of an extinct animal, but any 1,550 nm pulse can bring them back: necro-infrastructure in waiting.

Reanimating dark fibre is a practice of necro-arboriculture: grafting luminous sap onto dead trunks.
Every revived filament saves CO₂ [nobody digs again], gives autonomy back to the peripheries, and shows that the archaeology of cabling also carries the promise “re-use or be reborn”.
Because under the asphalt the skeleton still vibrates, ready to dance when somebody whispers it the first nanosecond of light.
