Description

Between 1995 and 1997 the CCRU published unsigned texts in which the author was surplus and the material replicated on its own. Printed here is that circuit that admits everything and attributes nothing.

A closed circuit with inputs and with no signature on any of them. What comes in is replicated, mixed and leaves without the layout allowing where it came from to be reconstructed.

Between 1995 and 1997 the Warwick unit published like that: collective texts, aliases, numerologies and an invented cosmology presented with the apparatus of the footnote.

The procedure had a name of its own. A hyperstition is a fiction that becomes real by circulating, and the proof that it works is that it stops mattering who wrote it.

The diagram admits everything precisely because it attributes nothing. With no author there is nobody to refute, and an assertion that cannot be refuted propagates as easily as it is invented.

That was done in an office the university did not recognise. It is now the ordinary way any network myth is manufactured.
